Chapitre 1042 spoilers version VF : « Les gagnants n’ont pas d’excuse ».

Couverture du chapitre : Germa 66’s Ahh… Emotionless Excursion, Vol. 6 : « Niji et Yonji à Whole Cake Island ».

• Sur la couverture, Oven porte le livre des Vinsmoke sur ses épaules. Il va quitter l’île Cacao en direction de l’île Whole Cake à travers un miroir (Brûlée est à côté). En partant, Oven regarde confusément Pudding (qui est toujours à Chocolate Town).

X Drake et CP0

• Le chapitre commence au 1er étage du sous-sol du château d’Onigashima. X Drake (en forme hybride) a poignardé le patron de CP0 dans le dos avec son épée. Le boss de CP0 crache du sang par la bouche.
• Patron CP0 :  » Dis-moi pourquoi tu as fait ça… Drake…. !! « 
• X Drake :  » Hah. Hah… C’est… ma justice… !! « 
• Patron du CP0 :  » Je vous envie… « 
• Soudain, le boss de CP0 se déplace à grande vitesse et se désolidarise de l’épée de X Drake. Il attaque ensuite X Drake en utilisant « Shigan », plantant son doigt dans la gorge de X Drake.

Retour à la capitale des fleurs

• Dans la « Capitale des fleurs », les gens finissent de préparer les bateaux du ciel. Toko a déjà préparé son bateau.
• Toco :  » Oh ! Volez… ! J’espère que mon souhait atteindra les cieux ! !! « 

Toit du château d’Onigashima : Luffy & Kaido

• Luffy continue de frapper Kaidou avec des coups de poing à grande vitesse. Kaidou parvient à arrêter l’un d’eux avec son kanabo, mais aussitôt après il reçoit 3 autres coups de poing sans pouvoir les arrêter.
• Luffy : « Zeh. Ze… »
• Kaidou : « La trajectoire de cette attaque est courbe… !? Ça fait mal…!!! Vu la nature de la gomme, ce genre de mouvement devrait être impossible…!! »
• Malgré les attaques de Luffy, Kaidou le regarde avec confiance.
• Luffy : « Ohhhhhhh !!! »
• Kaidou : « Arrête !! Hé ~ !! Ça fait mal… Arrêtez~♡ »
• Kaidou entre en mode « Amae Jougo » (mode Craving Love Drunk). Alors que Luffy le frappe au visage, Kaidou lui fait un clin d’œil et touche sa lèvre en faisant un « visage sexy ». Luffy est très en colère.
• Luffy : « Il est encore bourré !!! »
• Kaidou : « Wi Ne penses-tu pas que tu es le seul à pouvoir voir le « futur » !!! »
• Soudain, Kaidou se déplace à grande vitesse et parvient à échapper aux coups de poing de Luffy.
• Kaidou : « Heh… Laisse moi t’imiter…!! Wi~ »
• Nous voyons que Kaidou a changé de forme de dragon et il bouge son corps tout comme Luffy bouge ses bras lorsqu’il utilise Gear 4 (il peut changer de direction à volonté et très rapidement). Kaidou entre en mode « Nusubito Jougo » (mode Stealing Drunk). Puis il mord Luffy très fort.
• Luffy : « Ah ! ça fait huuuuur!!! »
• Kaidou met Luffy dans sa bouche et s’envole, loin d’Onigashima.
• Luffy : « Uohhhh »
• Kaidou : « Wi~~!!! »
• Luffy frappe Kaidou dans sa bouche pour essayer que Kaidou le libère.
• Luffy : « Il m’a mangé !!! Laisse-moi partir !!! »

Attaque sur Onigashima

• Après avoir volé un peu, Kaidou s’arrête et regarde Onigashima. Il ouvre ensuite la bouche et tire un « Bolo Breath » à bout portant sur Luffy, qui ne peut pas l’esquiver. L’attaque frappe Onigashima et traverse toute l’île et le château. Nous voyons comment « Bolo Breath » traverse le Live Floor et passe entre Yamato et Momonosuke au bas de l’île.
• « Bolo Breath » a balayé Luffy à travers tout Onigashima mais il s’en échappe finalement lorsque le faisceau de Kaidou perce toute l’île. Luffy prend la forme de « Boundman » et retourne là où se trouve Kaidou.
• Luffy : « Merde !! »
• Kaidou : « Wororo…Tu es revenu. »
• Luffy : « Combien de minutes me reste-t-il…!? C’est le dernier « Gear Fourth » !! Et je n’aurai plus le temps !! je ne peux pas perdre !! »
• Kaidou essaie à nouveau de mordre Luffy, mais il l’esquive et survole Kaidou.
• Kaidou : « Wi~ Votre état est plus grave que prévu. »
• Luffy parle à Kaidou alors qu’il prépare la prochaine attaque.
• Luffy : « Tant que tu es là, les gens de « Wanokuni » ne pourront même pas boire de l’eau !! Ha, ha… « Gomu Gomu non » !! »
• Kaidou : « Wororo !! Peu m’importe de quel côté tu es…!! Les gens de « Wanokuni » sont à l’aise avec la défaite. Ce pays est plein de « faibles épris de paix » !! Et des « morts honorables » !! Mais tous ne sont que des « perdants » essayant de trouver des excuses à leur échec !!! »
• Luffy : « Ferme ta gueule !!! Les samouraïs sont forts !!! »
• Kaidou : « Fort !? Ou juste faire semblant d’être fort !? Les « gagnants » n’ont pas besoin d’excuses !! Lequel es-tu!!? »
• Pendant qu’ils parlent, Kaidou prépare un autre « Bolo Breath », mais Luffy attaque en premier.

Est-ce la dernière attaque de Luffy ?

• Luffy : « « Over Kong Gun » (Supreme Monkey King Gun – 覇猿王銃 (オーバー コング ガ ン)) !!!! »
• Luffy frappe la mâchoire de Kaidou avec un coup de poing puissant. Le « Bolo Breath » de Kaidou explose dans sa propre bouche. Après l’attaque, Kaidou tombe au sol, Luffy court vers Kaidou pour l’attaquer à nouveau.
• Luffy : « Pas encore !! Hah… Je dois continuer tant que je peux utiliser « Gear Fourth » !! »
• Soudain, alors que Luffy prépare sa prochaine attaque, Kaidou (sous forme hybride) l’attaque à toute vitesse. Luffy est surpris.
• Kaidou : « “Hourai Hakke” (Thunder Cannon Bagua – 咆雷八卦 (ほうらい はっけ))!!!! »
• Kaidou souffle Luffy avec une version améliorée de « Raimei Hakke ». Luffy tombe au sol les yeux vides et commence à expulser de la vapeur de sa bouche. Cependant, Luffy couvre sa bouche empêchant « Gear Fourth » est désactivé. Kaidou regarde Luffy, ses yeux sont en forme de spirale. Kaidou entre en mode « Satsuriku Jougo » (mode Killing Spree Drunk). Luffy se lève et se prépare à attaquer à nouveau, Kaidou se prépare également à lui faire face.
• Luffy : « …!! Une attaque de plus…!! S’il n’est pas d’accord avec celui-ci, alors je serai celui qui perdra…!!! « Gomu Gomu non ~ » !! »
• Kaidou : « Hein, hein… Viens ici, morveux !!! « Hourai » !! »

Apparition inattendue

• Soudain, nous voyons que le patron du CP0 court vers la zone où ils se battent. Le boss du CP0 saute et attrape l’épaule du bras de Luffy avec laquelle il s’apprête à attaquer Kaidou.
• Luffy : « « Terminé »…!!Eh !? »
• Patron du CP0 : « « Tekkai » »
• Kaidou : « « CP0 » !!? »
• Kaidou est choqué et contrarié par l’apparition du patron du CP0, mais il ne peut pas s’arrêter. À ce moment, Kaidou se souvient quand il a frappé Oden il y a 20 ans (ces souvenirs sont du point de vue de Kaidou). Les visages d’Oden et de Luffy sont pratiquement les mêmes.
• Dans une double page finale, Kaidou frappe brutalement Luffy avec son kanabo en utilisant la couleur du roi suprême Haki. « Hourai Hakke » frappe directement le corps de Luffy (le kanabo de Kaidou frappe le corps de Luffy comme un maillet). Luffy ne peut pas se défendre grâce à la distraction du boss CP0. Le patron du CP0 parvient à s’éloigner juste à temps, donc le coup ne l’atteint pas.
• L’expression de Kaidou après avoir frappé Luffy est déchirante, il est complètement choqué. Luffy est gravement blessé et saigne beaucoup. Le chapitre se termine par cette phrase de l’éditeur de la série.
• « Les émotions sont mitigées… »
• Fin du chapitre.

Est-ce vraiment la fin du combat entre Kaido et Luffy ? Zoro prendra-t-il la relève pour affronter l’empereur ? Ou Sanji dont on n’a plus de nouvelles depuis 5 chapitres ? Laissez un commentaire ou lisez notre dernière théorie : Momonosuke va-t-il rejoindre l’équipage ?

In the cover, Oven is carrying the Vinsmoke’s book on his shoulders. He’s going to leave Cocoa Island towards Whole Cake Island through a mirror (Brûlée is next to it). As he leaves, Oven looks confused at Pudding (who is still in Chocolate Town).

X Drake and CP0

• Chapter starts on the 1st floor of Onigashima castle’s basement. X Drake (in hybrid form) has stabed CP0 boss from the back with his sword. CP0 boss spits blood out of his mouth.
• CP0 boss: « Tell me why you did it… Drake.…!! »
• X Drake: « Hah. Hah…This is… my justice…!! »
• CP0 boss: « I envy you… »
• Suddenly, CP0 boss moves at high speed and disentangles himself from X Drake’s sword. He then attacks X Drake using “Shigan”, stabing his finger into X Drake’s throat.

Back to the Flower Capital

• Cut to the “Flower Capital”, people are finishing the preparations for the sky boats. Toko already has ready her ship.
• Toco: « Oh! Fly~~!! I hope my wish reachs heavens!! »

Onigashima castle’s roof : Luffy & Kaido

• Luffy keeps hitting Kaidou with high-speed punches. Kaidou manages to stop one of them with his kanabo, but immediately after that he receives 3 more punches without being able to stop them.
• Luffy: « Zeh. Zeh… »
• Kaidou: « The trajectory of this attack is curved…!? It hurts…!!! Considering the nature of gum, this kind of move should be impossible…!! »
• Despite Luffy’s attacks, Kaidou looks at him confidently.
• Luffy: « Ohhhhhhh!!! »
• Kaidou: « Stop!! Hey~!! It hurts… Stop~♡ »
• Kaidou enters in “Amae Jougo” mode (Craving Love Drunk mode). As Luffy punches him in the face, Kaidou winks at him and touches his lip making a “sexy face”. Luffy gets very angry.
• Luffy: « He’s still drunk!!! »
• Kaidou: « Wi Don’t you think you’re the only one who can see the “future”!!! »
• Suddenly, Kaidou moves at high speed and manages to escape from Luffy’s punches.
• Kaidou: « Heh… Let me imitate you…!! Wi~ »
• We see Kaidou has changed to dragon form and he’s moving his body just like Luffy moves his arms when he uses Gear 4 (he can change his direction at will and very quickly). Kaidou enters in “Nusubito Jougo” mode (Stealing Drunk mode). Then he bites Luffy very hard.
• Luffy: « Ah! It huuuuurts!!! »
• Kaidou puts Luffy into his mouth and flies up, away from Onigashima.
• Luffy: « Uohhhh »
• Kaidou: « Wi~~!!! »
• Luffy punches Kaidou inside of his mouth to try Kaidou releases him.
• Luffy: « He ate me!!! Let me go!!! »

Attack on Onigashima

• After flying up a bit, Kaidou stops and looks down at Onigashima. He then opens his mouth and shoots a “Bolo Breath” point-blank to Luffy, who can’t dodge it. The attack hits Onigashima and pierces through the entire island and the castle. We see how “Bolo Breath” goes through the Live Floor and goes between Yamato and Momonosuke at the bottom of the island.
• “Bolo Breath” swept along Luffy through the entire Onigashima but he finally escapes from it when Kaidou’s beam pierces all the island. Luffy changes into “Boundman” form and flies back where Kaidou is.
• Luffy: « Damn you!! »
• Kaidou: « Wororo…You’ve come back. »
• Luffy: « How many minutes I have left…!? This is the last “Gear Fourth”!! And I won’t have any more time!! I cannot lose!! »
• Kaidou tries to bite Luffy again, but he dodges him and flies over Kaidou.
• Kaidou: « Wi~ Your condition is more severe than expected. »
• Luffy talks to Kaidou as he prepares the next attack.
• Luffy: « As long as you’re here, people of “Wanokuni” won’t be able to drink even water!! Hah, hah… “Gomu Gomu no”!! »
• Kaidou: « Wororo!! I don’t care whose side you are on…!! People of “Wanokuni” are comfortable with losing. This country is full of “peace-loving weaklings”!! And “honorable deaths”!! But all of them are just “losers” trying to find excuses for their failure!!! »
• Luffy: « Shut your mouth!!! Samurais are strong!!! »
• Kaidou: « Strong!? Or just pretending to be strong!? “Winners” need no excuse!! Which one are you!!? »
• While they talk, Kaidou prepares another “Bolo Breath”, but Luffy attacks first.

Is it Luffy last attack ?

• Luffy: « “Over Kong Gun” (Supreme Monkey King Gun – 覇猿王銃 (オーバー コング ガ ン))!!!! »
• Luffy hits Kaidou’s jaw with a powerful punch. Kaidou’s “Bolo Breath” explodes in his own mouth. After the attack Kaidou falls to the ground, Luffy runs towards Kaidou to attack him again.
• Luffy: « Not yet!! Hah… I must continue as long as I can use “Gear Fourth”!! »
• Suddenly, while Luffy prepares his next attack, Kaidou (in hybrid form) attacks him at full speed. Luffy is surprised.
• Kaidou : « “Hourai Hakke” (Thunder Cannon Bagua – 咆雷八卦 (ほうらい はっけ))!!!! »
• Kaidou blows Luffy with an upgraded version of “Raimei Hakke”. Luffy falls to the ground with his eyes blank and begins to expel steam from his mouth. However, Luffy covers his mouth preventing “Gear Fourth” is disabled. Kaidou looks at Luffy, his eyes are spiral shaped. Kaidou enters in “Satsuriku Jougo” mode (Killing Spree Drunk mode). Luffy gets up and prepares to attack again, Kaidou also prepares to face him.
• Luffy: « …!! One more attack…!! If he isn’t down with this one, then I will be the one who lose…!!! “Gomu Gomu no~”!! »
• Kaidou: « Huh, huh…Come here, brat!!!“Hourai”!! »

Unexpected Appearance

• Suddenly, we see that CP0 boss is running to the area where they are fighting. CP0 boss jumps and grabs the shoulder of Luffy’s arm with which he is about to attack Kaidou.
• Luffy: « “Over”…!!Eh!? »
• CP0 boss: « “Tekkai” »
• Kaidou: « “CP0”!!? »
• Kaidou is shocked and upset for CP0 boss’ appearance, but he can’t stop. In that moment, Kaidou remembers when he hit Oden 20 years ago (these memories are from Kaidou’s point of view). Oden and Luffy faces are practically the same.
• In an final double page Kaidou brutally hits Luffy with his kanabo using Color of the Supreme King Haki. “Hourai Hakke” hits Luffy’s body directly (Kaidou’s kanabo hits Luffy’s body like a mallet). Luffy can’t defend himself thanks to CP0 boss distraction. CP0 boss manages to move away just in time, so the blow did not hit him.
• Kaidou’s expression after hitting Luffy is heartbreaking, he is completely shocked. Luffy is badly injured and bleeding a lot. Chapter ends with this sentence from series’ editor.
• “Emotions are mixed…”
• End of the chapter.
